Curtain sewn by moi
You know it’s not really a true weekend without some painting, putty, sanding and priming. Plus this weekend I also sewed.
The bathroom is complete. New door? Check. Double clear-coat on the door? Check. Scuffed door frame (that was already painted once) – repainted? Check. New curtain and rod? Check. New hand towel that matches curtain? Check.
It’s hard to see, but the blue, turquoise trim on the bottom of the curtain matches the trim on the hand towel and actually matches the trim on the blue hand towels in our other bathroom. To really pull things together. No one will ever know this little design nugget except me and everyone I announce this to. And silently they will be saying “why is she telling me this?”
I actually was able to get Al’s input from NY before completing this project Sent him two photos of the curtain for him to choose from. What you see is what he preferred.
I’m not sure if I’m more excited that the room is complete or that I can put away the paint and other materials. And that leads to organizing the spare bedroom which continues to revolve between a guest room and a friggin’ junk room (obviously not my preference). Will have to tackle this when I return from NY. Refreshed and ready to organize and THROW things away.
Below some photos of the finished product.
