Dinner with Paulo

Paulo. Tired from eating, but never tired of eating.

We had a wonderful dinner with Paulo’s parents, Liz and James.  Food is always excellent at their house and of course tonight was no exception.

We started with PIZZA.  Which Paulo was quite pleased about (although he had already had his main course).  It was still pretty hot, so we went through a couple of rounds of him eagerly grabbing for a piece and quickly throwing it back while declaring it “HOT!”

We had a great night of conversation and food.

And somehow I was really amused by the fact that we were drinking our wine out of the LMU Wine Classic glasses.  Cheers!

Tornado Design on China Space

Let’s all come clean, we’ve all done a web search of our own name. Al did it the other night and found an interview he did with a Chinese Magazine. We had a copy of the article, but it was in Chinese. Here is is translated. Click here for the full article.

And when I Google searched Al+Tornado, the 5th result I got was my blog post about Ry Cooder visiting Tornado Design. Cool Eh?

A sacred heart on the white board

Went to the grand opening and stood in the slight shade for an hour and half.  It was a too bad.  Cardinal Mahony gave LMU a page from one of the Gutenberg Bibles.  When he first announced it, I thought, geez hope he didn’t just rip a page out…

We toured the place and Al made a temporary mark by drawing  on one of the many media viewing rooms in the library.  The walls are all white board.
