Street sign in New Orleans
That’s what my Buddhist acupunturist told me today. She continued by saying, “Live simply. That’s the problem with today’s world. Everyone wants everything and it causes stress and greed.” Then she told me to mediate everyday and don’t think too much (ie worry). The statement of “don’t think too much” is basically my mom’s mantra to me. And Al agrees. They all seem to know me so well.
My acupuncturist, who I’ve been seeing on and off for the last 8 years, also gave me the cups. I love those suction cups that suck the toxins out of your body. But I look like I was hugged by a huge squid and Al always worries that people think he abuses me. Although he calls thems giantic hickies.
The amazing thing about the treatment is how happy and calm it made me. I was almost hit by a car in Costco. No problem – after the initial scare. We had delay our bathroom renovation because we don’t have enough tile (because they installed the tile in wrong direction the first time) – okay no problem. Hope this feeling lasts. Actually that’s up to me – I need to ensure I maintain the attitude.
